Team Liquid Alienware vs CTBC Flying Oyster: 6:00 PM ET on October 23

Team Liquid Alienware vs CTBC Flying Oyster: 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CDT) on Friday, October 23, a Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 1 best-of-one. The LCS Summer champion against the LCP's second seed.

Team Liquid vs CTBC Flying Oyster: 6:00 PM ET on Friday, October 23, which is 5:00 PM CDT in Allen, Texas and 22:00 UTC. A best-of-one, Swiss Round 1, match 6 of 8.

Team Liquid Alienware and CTBC Flying Oyster are scheduled for 6:00 PM ET (5:00 PM CDT) on Friday, October 23: a best-of-one, the sixth match of Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 1 in Allen, Texas. Riot lists the team as Team Liquid Alienware, code TLAW; you'll also see TL or Team Liquid.

All times are Eastern Time (ET). New York is on daylight time until November 1, so that's EDT, UTC−4. The slot is 22:00 UTC.

Check before you tune in

Five best-of-ones are scheduled ahead of this one, and only the first, at 1:00 PM ET, has a published broadcast start. The rest are hourly slots, so if earlier games run long, this one starts late. Riot's ruleset also lets officials reorder matches within a day. A preview that lists Round 1 in draw order will put this match at a different time; the official schedule has it at 6:00 PM ET.

How they got here

  • Team Liquid Alienware won the LCS Summer final on October 4, 3–1 over LYON, and are the LCS's first seed. They were in draw Tier 1.
  • CTBC Flying Oyster are the LCP's second seed. They lost the LCP Split 3 final 0–3 to Team Secret Whales on August 30, and were in draw Tier 4.

TLAW and LYON are the only North American teams in the Swiss Stage. North America's third team, Cloud9 Kia, went out in the Play-In after losing 2–3 to Karmine Corp and 1–3 to FURIA.

A quirk of the draw: the other two finalists from those leagues play each other. Team Secret Whales, who beat CFO in the LCP final, meet LYON, who lost to TLAW in the LCS final, at 8:00 PM ET.

What's at stake

Three match wins advance a team to the Knockout Stage and three match losses eliminate it, so this game only decides who starts 1–0 and who starts 0–1. Rounds 1 and 2 are best-of-ones, and any match that decides advancement or elimination is a best-of-three.

Round 2 is drawn right after Friday's matches, pairing teams with the same record at random, and it's played Saturday, October 24, from 1:00 PM ET. For North American viewers, both of the region's teams play in Friday's last three slots: TLAW here at 6:00 PM ET, LYON at 8:00 PM ET.
