LOS vs T1: 7:00 PM ET on Friday, October 23, which is 6:00 PM CDT in Allen, Texas and 23:00 UTC. A best-of-one, Swiss Round 1, match 7 of 8.

LOS vs T1 is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET (6:00 PM CDT) on Friday, October 23, a best-of-one in Worlds 2026 Swiss Round 1 at Allen, Texas. It's the seventh of eight matches that day, not the last: Team Secret Whales and LYON follow at 8:00 PM ET.

Times are Eastern. New York is on daylight time until November 1, so that's EDT, UTC−4, and the slot is 23:00 UTC.

Why the time can move

Only the day's first match, at 1:00 PM ET, has a published broadcast start. This one sits in an hourly slot behind six other best-of-ones, so long games earlier push it later, and Riot's ruleset lets officials reorder matches within a day. Previews that list Round 1 in draw order put this match earlier in the day; the official schedule has it at 7:00 PM ET.

How they got here

  • T1 are three-time defending world champions. They won the final 3–0 over Weibo Gaming in 2023, 3–2 over Bilibili Gaming in 2024 and 3–2 over KT Rolster in 2025, and they're going for a fourth straight title. They're Korea's third seed after losing the LCK lower final 1–3 to Hanwha Life Esports on September 12, and they were in draw Tier 3.
  • LOS (Los Grandes on Wikipedia) won the CBLOL Split 2 final on October 10, 3–2 over FURIA, and are Brazil's top seed. FURIA had won Split 1, beating LOS 3–1 in the June 6 final. LOS were in draw Tier 2.

LOS are Brazil's only team in the Swiss Stage. FURIA went out in the Play-In, losing 0–3 and 1–3 to MVK Esports.

What's at stake

T1's three straight titles put a spotlight on this one, but the format makes it less final than it might feel. Three match wins advance a team to the Knockout Stage and three match losses eliminate it. Whoever loses this best-of-one starts 0–1, with at least two more matches to play.

Rounds 1 and 2 are best-of-ones, and any match that decides advancement or elimination is a best-of-three. Round 2 is drawn right after Friday's matches, pairing same-record teams at random, and it's played Saturday, October 24, from 1:00 PM ET.
