Radiance, the fifth set for Riftbound, launches worldwide on October 23. Riftbound is Riot's League of Legends trading card game: Riot develops it and UVS Games publishes it worldwide. Radiance follows Vendetta, which came out in July, and keeps the game's pace of a new set roughly every three months.

The set

  • 180 cards, including 66 Showcase cards.
  • Three new keywords:
    • Deploy sends Gear straight to a Battlefield, but it's destroyed if your opponent holds that Battlefield.
    • Show Off unlocks an extra effect when you reveal a qualifying card.
    • Disarm lowers an enemy unit's Might when you attack, stacking each time.
  • New card types: Equipment that becomes Units through Orianna's Legend effect, and Bomb tokens.
  • Nine new Legends, each with an Overnumbered variant.

Products

The set launches in booster packs and displays, a Vault Bundle, and Showdown Decks. The Showdown Decks pit Seraphine against Evelynn, at a listed price of $34.99. Pre-Rift events, Riftbound's version of a prerelease, ran from October 16 to 22.

Where it fits

Riftbound launched in English on October 31, 2025, with Origins, a year to the week before Radiance. Since then:

  • Spiritforged: February 13, 2026
  • Unleashed: May 8
  • Vendetta: July 31
  • Radiance: October 23

Next on the schedule is Legacy, on January 29, 2027.

Why League players might care

Riftbound is built from League's own cast. Its Legends are champions, and its card art comes from the same world as the game's splashes. If you know a champion's kit, you'll often recognise the idea behind their card. Radiance's featured pairing, Seraphine against Evelynn, puts two K/DA and Runeterra favourites head to head.

If you'd rather name a champion from their splash, the daily League Splash puzzle has a new one every day.
