MCP tool reference

Every tool the Lolumen MCP server offers. All of them are read-only. Inputs marked optional can be left out. An assistant chooses the tools and fills in the inputs itself; this page is for knowing what it can do.

Hearthstone cards

Search Hearthstone cards · search_cards

Search every collectible Hearthstone card by name or card text, and filter by class, mana cost, type, rarity, tribe or spell school, expansion and format (standard or wild). Returns matching cards with their text, set and where they can be played, plus a link to each card on Lolumen.

• query (optional): Words from the card name or text.
• class (optional): A class, e.g. "Mage", "Demon Hunter", or "Neutral".
• cost (optional): Exact mana cost.

• type (optional): Minion, Spell, Weapon, Location or Hero.
• rarity (optional): Free, Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary.

Get a Hearthstone card · get_card

Everything about one Hearthstone card by name or card id: cost, stats, text, class, rarity, expansion and year, crafting cost, flavor, artist, whether it is legal in Standard and Wild (with any ban), its other printings, a picture and its Lolumen page.

• card: A card name ("Bat Mask") or id ("DINO_402").

Is a card in Standard? · check_card_format

Answers whether Hearthstone cards can be played in Standard and in Wild right now, counting every printing (a Core reprint makes a card Standard) and current bans. Give up to 30 card names or ids at once.

• cards: Card names or ids.

The Standard format · standard_rotation

The current Standard year: which expansions and sets are in Standard, when the next rotation is expected, and how many cards each set has.

Takes no inputs.

Banned cards · list_bans

Every Hearthstone card currently banned in Standard or Wild, with the date the ban took effect, whether it is temporary, and the announcement.

• format (optional): Only bans in this format.

Hearthstone sets · list_sets

Every Hearthstone card set and expansion, newest first, with its release year, card count and whether it is in Standard.

Takes no inputs.

Hearthstone decks and meta

Read a deck code · decode_deck

Reads a Hearthstone deck code (or a whole pasted deck list with its code): the class, format, every card with its count and cost, the mana curve and the dust to craft it, and whether every card is legal in the deck’s format today (listing rotated or banned cards).

• code: The deck code, or the text copied from the game.

Class win rates · class_win_rates

Each Hearthstone class’s win rate and share of games, from the ranked games players track on Lolumen and chose to share. Each rate comes with a 95% range and the number of games behind it; small samples are marked early. Class-against-class matchups are a Premium feature on the site and are not included.

What players build · deck_meta

What Hearthstone players are building, from the decks they share publicly on Lolumen over the last 60 days: each class’s share of decks and average dust, and the most-played cards with how often they are included.

Hearthstone decks players have shared publicly on Lolumen, newest or most liked first, filtered by class and format, with each deck’s dust, likes and page.

Daily games

Today's daily games · daily_games

Today's Lolumen daily guessing games for Hearthstone and League of Legends: what each one asks, today's puzzle number, when the next puzzles start, and where to play. It never reveals answers.

Daily game leaderboard · leaderboard

The public leaderboard for one Lolumen daily game: today's fastest solvers by guesses, or the longest current streaks. Only players who chose to appear on leaderboards are listed.

The Lolumen blog’s posts, newest first: Hearthstone news, balance changes and meta reads, with each post’s summary, date and link.

League of Legends

Search League champions · search_champions

League of Legends champions by name or title, optionally by class tag (Assassin, Fighter, Mage, Marksman, Support, Tank), with each one’s title, tags, resource and Lolumen page.

Get a League champion · get_champion

One League of Legends champion in full: title, tags, base stats and growth per level, passive and abilities with cooldowns and costs, lore, and tips for playing as and against them.

• champion: A champion name, e.g. "Ahri".

League patches · league_patches

The current League of Legends patch and the ones before it, from Riot’s game data, with a link to Riot’s official patch notes and any Lolumen blog posts about patches. Use league_patch_changes for what changed in one.

What changed in a League patch · league_patch_changes

What changed in League of Legends between two patches, worked out from Riot’s game data: champions added, base stats that moved, ability cooldowns, costs and ranges that changed (and which abilities had their text changed), and Summoner’s Rift items added, removed, re-priced or re-statted. Defaults to the latest patch against the one before. Some changes live only in tooltips and won’t show here; Riot’s notes are the full record.

• to (optional): The newer patch, e.g. "16.21". The latest when left out.
• from (optional): The older patch. The one before "to" when left out.
• champion (optional): Only this champion.
• items (optional): Include item changes.
• limit (optional): Most champions and items to list.

Search League items · search_items

League of Legends items you can buy on Summoner’s Rift, by name or description, optionally by tag (e.g. "CriticalStrike", "SpellDamage", "Boots") and the most they cost, with each item’s gold and stats.

Get a League item · get_item

One League of Legends item by name or id: its cost and sell price, stats, what it does, what it’s built from and what it builds into, on the current patch.
